I Am A Tree

I am sewn to the earth
And held by the sky
When I am lonely
The wind asks me to dance
The sun warms me
And my cold and withered bark
Glows like the light of a million stars
And when the rain pours down
My tears are hidden from sight
Until the sun shines again
On my soft and longing leaves.
